Second
Opinion
Sometimes a fresh perspective makes all the difference. Radiology for Pets offers an independent second opinion service for both veterinary professionals and pet owners who would like an additional specialist review of existing diagnostic imaging.
Whether you are a clinician seeking to validate findings, explore a differential you may have missed, or gain confidence before proceeding with treatment, or a pet owner looking for reassurance about your pet’s diagnosis, our board-certified radiologists are here to help.
Second opinions for veterinarians
As a veterinary professional, you can request a second opinion on any existing imaging study. Our radiologists will provide an independent, specialist review and deliver a detailed written report addressing your specific clinical question.
A second opinion may be particularly useful when:
- You have a complex or ambiguous study and want a specialist perspective before making a clinical decision.
- You would like to validate an existing interpretation, whether your own or another specialist’s.
- A case involves multiple modalities and you want a radiologist to synthesise findings across studies.
- You are preparing to discuss imaging findings with a pet owner and want additional confidence in the diagnosis.

If your pet has already had imaging performed and you would like an independent specialist review, you can request a second opinion directly through Radiology for Pets.
Our board-certified veterinary radiologist will review your pet’s existing imaging studies and provide a detailed written report. This report is sent to your regular veterinarian, so they can discuss the findings with you and plan any next steps in your pet’s care.
